O câncer de bexiga é  um dos mais comuns no Brasil do aparelho urinário e o ocupa o sexto lugar entre os homens. Até o ano 2022, a estimativa é que sejam diagnosticados 10.640 casos, sendo 7.590 em pacientes masculinos e 3.050 e pacientes femininos.

É importante salientar que o tabagismo aumenta a chance de desenvolvimento da doença em 4 a 7 vezes.

No mundo, a cada ano, ocorrem cerca de 500 mil novos casos de câncer de bexiga.

Há dois tipos de características que determinam o câncer de bexiga: se o tumor é invasivo ou não.

Sintomas

O principal sintoma da doença é a presença de sangue na urina, em 37% a 62% dos pacientes.  No entanto, esse sintoma pode ser confundido com problemas inflamatórios, infecciosos e até pedra nos rins.

Outros sintomas menos frequentes são a presença de massa palpável na bexiga, inchaço nas coxas, pernas e pés e dor nas costas (região lombar).

Em estágios mais avançados, a doença pode resultar em dor óssea, impossibilidade de urinar, fraqueza e emagrecimento.

Diagnóstico

Nos homens, um exame de toque retal pode detectar um crescimento anormal da bexiga. Nas mulheres, o diagnóstico pode ser feito através de um exame ginecológico.

Como vimos, muita gente morre porque os sintomas do câncer são facilmente confundidos com os de outras enfermidades.

O tratamento para o câncer de bexiga pode ser feito através de quimioterapia, imunoterapia, cirurgia e radioterapia.

No início do tumor, os sintomas mais comuns são:

  • Sensação de ardor ao urinar
  • Sangue na urina
  • Dificuldade ou necessidade frequente em urinar

Nos estágios mais avançados da doença, pode-se observar

  • Dor no reto, ânus, pelve, flanco ou nos ossos
  • Perda de peso e do apetite
  • Anemia
  • Febre
  • Inchaço nas pernas
  • Mudança nos hábitos intestinais
  • Protuberância na pelve

Falamos um pouco sobre a doença, os tratamentos e os sintomas, mas o mais importante é a prevenção.

O Que Fazer?

Não fumar: o tabaco tem imensos produtos químicos. Evite essa droga e evite também ser um fumante passivo.

Reduzir a exposição a produtos químicos: muitas profissões trabalham com produtos químicos. Para se precaver, é necessário tomar precauções de segurança, o que inclui máscaras faciais e roupas de proteção.

Muito importante é também evitar a ingestão de alimentos processados.

Não se esqueça também das alternativas naturais:

Beber muita água: a hidratação dilui a urina e estimula a micção.

Isso significa que você vai estar filtrando e eliminando as toxinas regularmente, fazendo com que permaneçam menos tempo na bexiga.

Invista numa alimentação com frutas e verduras, além de uma alta ingestão de fibra, como alta ingestão de alimentos antioxidantes, que combatem o câncer.

Os alimentos antioxidantes eliminam os radicais livres, antes que eles provoquem o câncer, e a fibra promove movimentos intestinais regulares.
